To configure the networking of the WE2111, the following information must be decided:

This information can be configured on each WE2111 using the menu system:
  1. Enter safe-setup: Press the "Gross/Net" key for 2 seconds until "Setup" appears and the WE2111 beeps twice.
  2. Find the "Serial" menu:  Press the "Zero" key until "Serial" appears.
  3. Set Serial port 1 to Network.
    1. Find the "Ser1" menu item:  Press the "Tare" key until "Ser1" appears.
    2. Set the "Ser1" menu item to "Net": Press the "Gross/Net" key to enter edit mode.  Press the "Print" key until "Net" appears.  Press the "Tare" key to leave edit mode.
  4. Set the unique address and network type.
    1. Find the "Net.Opt" menu item:  Press the "Tare" key until "Net.Opt" appears.
    2. Find the "Address" item:  Press the "Gross/Net" key until "Address" appears.
    3. Edit the address:  Press the "Print" key to enter the edit mode.  Use the "Gross/Net" and "Print" buttons to change the address within the range 0 to 31 inclusive.  Press the "Tare" key to leave edit mode.
    4. Find the "Type" item:  Press the "Gross/Net" key until "Type" appears.
    5. Edit the network type:  Press the "Print" key to enter edit mode.  Press the "Print" key until "Net.A" appears.  Press the "Tare" key to leave edit mode.
  5. Set the baud rate.
    1. Find the "Baud" menu item:  Press the "Tare" key until "Baud" appears.
    2. Edit the baud rate:  Press the "Gross/Net" key to enter edit mode.  Press the "Print" key until the desired baudrate is shown.  Press the "Tare" key to leave edit mode.
  6. Set the Parity, data bits, stop bits and type.
    1. Find the "bits" menu item:  Press the "Tare" key until "bits" appears.
    2. Edit the information:  Press the "Gross/Net" key to enter edit mode.  Use the "Gross/Net" and "Print" keys to set the desired configuration according to the table below.  Press the "Tare" key to leave edit mode.

  7. Save and Exit the menu.
    1. Find the "-End-" menu:  Press the "Zero" key until "-End-" appears.
    2. Save and exit the menu:  Press the "Tare" key.
