View2111 : How To : Save and Restore Settings and Log Data

View2111 allows the WE2111 user settings to loaded from the instrument, changed and restored to the instrument.  These settings can also be stored to file for use at a later date and loaded.  The settings can be printed.

Log data can also be saved, loaded and printed.

Reading settings from the WE2111

  1. Connect to a WE2111 as described in How To : Connect a WE2111.
  2. Click on " Read Settings" on the toolbar.
  3. The settings may be viewed (and changed) using the Settings page.
Writing settings to the WE2111
  1. Ensure that a WE2111 is connected as described in How To : Connect a WE2111.
  2. After settings have been loaded from a file or read from the instrument and changed, they can be writen back to the instrument by clicking on  " Write Settings" on the toolbar.
Saving settings to a file
  1. After settings have been loaded from a file or read from the instrument, they can be saved to file by clicking on " Save" on the toolbar.  Check the file type is "RI Settings (*.RIS)", enter the desired filename and click on "Save".
Loading settings from a file
  1. Settings that have been previously saved to file can be loaded by pressing " Open" on the toolbar.  Check the file type is "RI Settings (*.RIS)", select the desired file and click "Open".  The settings can then be changed using the Settings page.
Saving log data to a file
  1. After logging has been completed, the data can be saved to a file for later viewing.  Click on " Save" on the toolbar.  Check the file type is "RI Log (*.LOG)", enter the desired filename and click on "Save".
Loading log data from a file
    Log data that have been previously saved to file can be loaded by pressing " Open" on the toolbar.  Check the file type is "RI Log (*.LOG)", select the desired file and click "Open".
Printing the log graph
  1. Ensure that the Log page is selected and the log chart is showing
  2. Configure the zoom as desired
  3. Select the "Print" option from the "File" menu.
Printing the instrument settings
  1. Select any page EXCEPT the Log page
  2. Select the "Print" option from the "File" menu.
